EMS and Rescue

Rural/Metro has their own dispatch center. When we receive an EMS call, we take the information and provide EMD (Emergency Medical Dispatching) pre-arrival instructions and notify Rural/Metro dispatch of the call. Rural/Metro also dispatches for the Blount County Rescue Squad. We notify Rural/Metro of any calls for rescue services outside of the Maryville and Alcoa city limits.
